Programs

This page is about any programs I have written, they’ll be for various little things, but it’s quite safe to say that this page won’t get updated very often :)

iTunes Purchased Music

This program is one I wrote for Windows users (XP/Vista). It is written in C# through Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, which sadly means it requires the .NET Framework 3.5, though this should be no problem with those of you who like to keep your system’s thoroughly up-to-date.

A screen shot can be found below:

The purpose, as you may be able to see from the picture, it’s to scan through your iTunes Music Library*, and find any of your purchased songs, and tell you exactly how many there are. This is useful if (like me) you have over 2000 songs to check!

* Currently the Library must be in the default location.

Anway, I hope anybody who get’s it finds it useful :) Email me  if you want the source code, or anything else.

Sabre

Sabre is a plugin for the popular Open-Source music player AmaroK :) It pings a bluetooth device - usually a mobile phone or something similar - and if the device is out of range, it will pause the music, and enable the screensaver on your PC, and then when the device is back in range, it reverses these settings :D

My personal involvement with Sabre is somewhat limited at the moment, as I have other work that needs to be done (University work :() However I am considered to be a senior Dev on the project, and wrote the original install script which the current script is based upon.

Below you can find some useful links for Sabre:
