You should now all be seeing http://joeb454.co.uk in the address bar
I’m just enabling Google App’s for domains, so I can have “my_email_address @ joeb454.co.uk” which is nice. I’m really loving WordPress right now
I’ll try and add more pages when I get enough content.
Chances are that the first one will be a How-To: page, which I’ll link to from the Ubuntu Forums
Anyway, you should also be able to get to this site from http://www.joeb454.com within the next week, I’ve also bought that as well, and I’ll just be using it as a redirect to the .co.uk site.

Ok, I bought a domain name earlier (www.joeb454.co.uk) and I’m intending to have it point here, I just need to get it all set up
Anyway, I’m really bored, and I’m watching Family Guy. I’ll post here when I’ve got the domain sorted.

I’ve just downloaded Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 2, and I’ve got to say, on first impressions it’s far better than Beta 1, and that makes it miles better than Firefox 2.
I’d recommend giving it a try, though if you do, you need to remember that it’s still beta software. Though in my experience I have yet to see any major bugs.

Anyway, The purpose of this post is just to show exactly how customisable Linux actually is
Somebody I know from the Ubuntu Forums Beginners Team (ajmorris_) has this for a desktop:

I have to say that on customising - Linux beats Windows

I know Gutsy Gibbon has been out since the middle of October, but I have to say I love it, I’m using it now, and I’m using it more and more.
In fact, recently, I’m became part of the Ubuntu Forums Beginners Team
That’s how much I like Ubuntu, and how much I’m learning about it.
Will post more on stuff when I get a chance, with the run-up to Christmas I’ve been a bit busy

I wrote a program earlier, because I wanted to find out which songs in my iTunes library were bought from the iTunes Music Store.
Me being me (read: lazy) I didn’t want to have to trawl through all 2041 songs I have in there, just to find the purchased ones.
So I wrote a program, and I’m hosting it on my googlepage
So click here for the page, or here for the program.

Ok so I’m using Ubuntu at the moment (which means I’m not using Windows Live Writer - incidentally, that is a brilliant piece of blogging software in my opinion!).
I have to say that I’m pleased with how well everything’s gone with Ubuntu, everything works, I have flash & java installed, and it auto-connects to my home wireless and Uni wireless
One thing that I’m missing a lot is iTunes, as there’s no native version for Linux (but why?!?!) Apple seem friendly to open-source development, anyway I’m using Rythmbox now, which reads all my music from my Vista partition which is nice…saves me a ton of space on the hard drive
That’s all for now
